These principles of Building Conservation apply to Antiques:
- 'Minimum intervention'
- 'Like for like repair'
- 'Maximum retention of original material'
We never strip off the original patina. This is always retained during restoration. Any repairs are very carefully undertaken, using old veneers and timber from our stock of salvaged furniture. We use 'pearl glue' (hoof/animal derived) and steel or brass slot screws to match the existing. We prefer natural wax finishes.
